On this episode we tackle a topic that has been buzzing lately: our relationship with alcohol. And who better to talk to than Molly Gorney, mom of 3 and graduate student in social work who has been sober for over 3 years. Molly's alcohol use was not much different than many of us stressed out mommas. Used as a coping mechanism for her stress, Molly realized that alcohol was not serving her in the way she had hoped but was actually holding her back from her true potential. She shares how this has led her to her true calling and shares all the helpful tips on how to start your journey in discovering what place alcohol has in your life and how to eliminate alcohol for a more present and intentional life.
We kick off this conversation with the question of why our society is so fixated on alcohol and what living an alcohol-free life looks like. More importantly, how is marketing targeting the mommy wine culture to further boost their profits (much like big tobacco 50 years ago!)?
Here is a list of suggestions from Molly. She is open to any questions you may have about her story or how you can begin yours.
